This crab stuffed shrimp recipe is a seafood favorite that feels special without being complicated. Made with less filler and more flavor, it’s the perfect appetizer for parties, holidays, or anytime you want to serve something impressive.
Prepare the Shrimp
2 Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish. Butterfly the shrimp by slicing along the back without cutting all the way through, then gently open to create a pocket. Season the shrimp with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika, and arrange them in the baking dish.
Make the Crab Stuffing
4 In a medium bowl, gently combine the lump crab meat, mayonnaise, breadcrumbs, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, garlic, Cajun seasoning, salt, pepper, and parsley. Mix just until combined, being careful not to break up the crab too much.
Stuff the Shrimp
6 Spoon the crab mixture into each butterflied shrimp, slightly mounding the filling on top. Make sure the shrimp are evenly spaced in the baking dish.
Bake the Stuffed Shrimp
8 Drizzle the melted butter over the stuffed shrimp. Bake for 15–20 minutes, or until the shrimp are cooked through and the stuffing is lightly golden.
Serve
10 Remove from the oven and let rest for a few minutes. Garnish with additional parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side.
